What are they?
This word is used to describe layers of tissue that have stuck together preventing them from gliding over one another as they are designed to. When this happens it hurts to move in a normal manner.
How do you treat them?
Treatment is by warming up the tissue with massage and then prising the layers apart a little at a time with deeper massage, called friction, so that they will once again move in opposing directions across one another as they are designed to.
